STOPJEU
Privacy Policy for the Website, Android Application, and Desktop Application.
Introduction
This Privacy Policy (« Privacy Policy ») governs the data collection by SULTANAYAZ WEB FILTERING SAS, a simplified joint-stock company (« Company », « us », « we », and « our »), when you use our STOPJEU mobile application, our STOPJEU desktop application (« STOPJEU Product »), or our website, www.stopjeu.org (« Website »).
This Privacy Policy is provided to convey important information regarding how and why we collect, and use the information we gather from our users. We value our users’ privacy. Before using our STOPJEU product, please carefully review this Privacy Policy and use it to make informed decisions.
By using the STOPJEU product or website, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. Continuation of using the STOPJEU product or website indicates acceptance of the terms of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is an integral part of our end-user license agreement (https://stopjeu.org/conditions-dutilisation) and establishes a legally binding agreement between you and the company to the extent that the processing of personal data is based on consent (as detailed below). The definitions within this document shall have the same meanings as those outlined therein. Please refrain from accessing or using the STOPJEU product or website if you do not agree to these terms.
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT ACCESS OR USE THE WEBSITE, OR DOWNLOAD, INSTALL, OR USE THE STOPJEU PRODUCT OR SERVICES IN ANY WAY.
Use of VPN and Accessibility Services
⚠️ Our consent dialog remains presented clearly and unambiguously before requesting any permission. To ensure user understanding and agreement, we still require an affirmative user action. Additionally, we still do not interpret any navigation away from the consent dialog, such as tapping away or pressing the back or home button, as consent.
Furthermore, we still do not use auto-dismissing or expiring messages to obtain user consent. The end user still has the ability to disable accessibility permission at any time by clicking on « disable ». We believe these practices demonstrate our commitment to respecting user privacy and ensuring a transparent user experience.
In our commitment to shield users from online gambling’s potential dangers, STOPJEU employs both VPN (Virtual Private Network) and Accessibility services on your device.
VPN Services: STOPJEU’s VPN services function by directing user traffic through a secure tunnel towards our DNS resolver database. This approach effectively prevents access to online gambling platforms. The key features of the VPN are:
- Filtering of gambling-related websites.
- No personal data, browsing history, or any user-related information is accumulated, stored, or transferred.
- Although user data traverses our servers when the VPN is active, it remains untouched.
- Our VPN functionality steers clear from interference or unauthorized connection with third-party services or networks.
Accessibility Services: STOPJEU incorporates Accessibility services for holistic user protection:
- Deactivation Shield: Prevents the accidental or unauthorized deactivation of the STOPJEU VPN service.
- Uninstallation Prevention: Aiding in the prevention of STOPJEU’s unintentional uninstallation.
- Third-Party VPN Defense: Halts attempts to sidestep our protective layers using external VPN services.
- User-defined App Restrictions: Allows users to dictate which apps to block.
- Uninstallation Protocol: The exclusive method to uninstall STOPJEU is within the app itself by pressing the uninstall button inside the app. This button is safeguarded by a user-defined PIN code. Users set a waiting period during which they cannot receive the PIN code. Once the waiting period elapses, the PIN code is dispatched to the user’s email. Our use of Accessibility permissions is integral to enforce this protective mechanism, ensuring users can’t inadvertently compromise their safety settings.
Your privacy remains our top priority. Both our VPN and Accessibility services are meticulously crafted to magnify STOPJEU’s anti-gambling capabilities while resolutely preserving user data’s integrity and privacy.
What types of data do we analyze?
Non-Personal Information refers to data made available or gathered through your use of the STOPJEU product, and when applicable, activated by mobile application users via Android’s accessibility service (« Non-Personal Information »). Before being transmitted to our servers and used in any other manner, these non-personal details are sanitized and deleted on your device to eliminate any data that could be used to identify you. As a result, we remain unaware of the user’s identity from whom non-personal information has been harvested and cannot ascertain it.
The following NON-PERSONAL data types are collected from your desktop application use:
- IP Address (Internet Protocol): Do note, we permanently delete the last part of the IP address and hash the entire IP before storage, ensuring we cannot use it to send data to your device or otherwise identify you.
- GUID: A unique identifier generated on your device during the app’s installation, stored to differentiate one user from another. It can’t be used to send data to your device or to identify you in any other way.
- User Agent: Recognizes the employed browser, its version, and the OS it operates on.
- Tracker Data: The variety and version of our tracker.
- Transition Type: How the current URL was accessed (e.g., through manual entry, tab switch, or link click).
- Browser Profile Counter: A random number generated to differentiate various users employing the same browser.
The subsequent NON-PERSONAL information types are assembled following your mobile application use:
- Technical Data: OS version, device model name, screen dimensions, mobile network code, and browser type.
- Technical Data: OS version, device model name, screen dimensions, mobile network code, and browser type. > Installed Apps: App name, app ID, installation and update date, version, whether it’s a system app, and if the app is on the home screen.
- GUID: Similar to the desktop application.
- IP Address: As described under the desktop application.
Android App Permissions (« Permission »):
Accessibility: This permission enables us to block undesired websites or apps, ensuring your device and browser’s secure use, which is the application’s primary functionality. Please refer to the section « How Is the Data Used? » below for more insights. To avail these permissions, you must first activate them explicitly via an in-app permission or mobile settings. At any given moment, you can deactivate these permissions. However, deactivating specific permissions might disrupt some or all functionalities. To deliver our Services, data acquired through Permissions is shared.
This non-personal information is processed for purposes outlined in the section titled « How Is the Data Used? » below.
We do not amass any personally identifiable information from you, i.e., data that identifies or can reasonably be used to identify an individual (« Personal Information »), except what you voluntarily provide, like when you register and create an account, such as your name and email address. Note that these details are solely used to communicate with you and assist, and will not be shared with third parties.
How is the data used?
We analyze your information as indicated above when you access or use the STOPJEU website or STOPJEU product, and we use this information to block your access to specific sites based on settings you define and control (the « Services »).

In practice, we need to analyze the web pages you visit and retrieve the applications you try to open to provide the STOPJEU products and services. This means that we use the data we collect from you and transmit it to our servers to enable the STOPJEU product and know when and where there is content, a website, or an application to block, as detailed and specified above.
Therefore, in this context, processing non-personal information is required for a functionality intended for the user, namely, the provision of the services described above. Consequently, all or part of site blocking would not work if this information were not available. By using the STOPJEU website and downloading and using the STOPJEU Product, you acknowledge and agree that you are requesting that we provide you with the Services.
To monitor and understand user interest and improve the Services, we also use non-personal information, aggregated information, or statistics about your use of the Services that do not describe or identify any individual user.
